Description

Accepta DES14 is a high quality sodium sulphite based de-chlorinator product used for reducing or neutralising residual chlorine reserves following clean and chlorination procedures.

Accepta DES14 can be used for post cleaning/chlorination procedures and other applications where residual chlorine levels are required to be reduced or eliminated to allow discharge to foul drain or natural watercourses.

Accepta DES14 can also be used to dechlorinate water used in aquariums and swimming pools.

Can be used with Accepta FDCL and Accepta SDHY15 sodium hypochlorite products.

Product Benefits

  • High quality sodium thiosulphate.
  • Rapidly reduces/neutralises chlorine levels post cleaning/chlorination procedures.
  • Easy to use.

Application & Dosage Information

DECHLORINATION OF TANKS

Where it is necessary to remove the excess chlorine from a volume of water prior to discharge to sewer, this can be achieved using Dechlor

The DES14 should be added at the rate of 14ml per ppm of Chlorine per m3 of water.
Example To remove 30 ppm of free residual chlorine in a 60m3 tank requires:-

14(ml) x 30(ppm) x 60(m3)

= 25,200 ml or

= 25.2 litres of DES14

N.B. It is important not to over dechlorinate since this will absorb any free chlorine residual in the incoming main.

Can be used for the dechlorination of cooling towers during cleaning.

When using Activ-Ox foam cleaning products drain the tower sump and fill with 2 inches of clean water and add the following cocktail of chemicals to neutralise the foam as it drips into the sump.

-Approx 500ml/m3 of DF-C / AT-2315 Defoamer

-Approx 500ml/m3 of Accepta Dechlor
