Description

Accepta 6506 is a solid form chemical stick designed to clean-up a system of fouled and troublesome iron deposits.

For small systems where metering inhibitor into the system is not practical.

This is a chelation/phosphonate-based cleaner and scale remover which assists in removal of deposit and scale build-up in water systems. It uses the mechanism of chelation/cleaning and passivation.

The use of this product eliminates the need to clean with dangerous mineral acids which could be detrimental to both the system and the associated handling problems.

This product is designed for closed loops, utilizing in line filters or system flushing to remove the iron that is cleaned or sloughed off.

Accepta 6506 is Thermally stable & can also be used in open cooling systems.

HOW MUCH TO USE

Depending upon the severity of the iron scale/deposit build-up, typical usage rates are recommended at 200ppm in the system water (4 sticks per 7500l of system volume).

More or less may be needed depending upon the status of the system. Care should be taken, when cleaning, to prevent clogging of screens, strainers, and lines in heavily fouled systems when applying this product.

In heavily fouled systems, it may be advantageous to use in conjunction with a side stream filter.

Even though inhibitors are used, corrosion may occur on metal surfaces during the cleaning operation; therefore, every attempt should be made to purge the system after the cleaning process is complete.

FEEDING

Closed systems can be dosed by using the existing by-pass feeder. Dissolving rates will vary depending upon water composition, temperature, and flow rate.

When dosed into an open system, attempt to find a high flow area in the sump of the cooling tower or inside make-up tank that is accessible.

  • In water less than 50°F, the sticks should be fed to closed system via side stream filter with appropriate filter media in place.
