Description

Boiler Water Oxygen Scavenger

Accepta 6301 is a solid catalysed sodium sulphite (Sulfite) oxygen scavenger boiler water treatment.

This is a proprietary boiler water treatment containing catalyzed sodium sulphite. It reduces the potential for oxygen corrosion in boiler water systems.  All components conform to FDA Title 21, Section 173 Boiler Water Additives.

HOW MUCH TO USE

Fed at 25 ppm, 0.5kg of product treats approximately 20,000 kg of boiler blowdown, (depending upon the amount of oxygen being removed mechanically). 1 case (21.7 kg) is equivalent to 110 liters of a conventional liquid product.  Liquid equivalent comparative values will vary, dependent upon concentration.

Test for product with a Sulphite (Sulfite) test kit at 20-60 ppm dependent on reserve recommended by boiler manufacturer.

HANDLING AND STORAGE

Accepta 6301 should be kept away from acids and oxidising agents in a cool dry area.  Properly stored, the product will remain effective for 24 – 36 months.  Consult Safety Data Sheet for further information

FEEDING

Feed Accepta 6301 using an Accepta board system.

Available in three types:

  • Gravity Fed – No pump needed, requires controller relay or timer
  • Electronic Level Control – Pump needed
  • Mechanical – Pump needed

It is always advisable to carry out a ‘Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health’ (COSHH) assessment before use.
