Accepta 6402 is an isocyanurate-stabilized, dry source of chlorine 55% available Chlorine.
Accepta 6402 can be used to control the growth of bacteria and algae in industrial recirculating cooling water systems, air washers, evaporative condensers, cooling towers, and other process water systems.
Chlorine has proven efficacy against pathogen microorganisms including Legionella.
Accepta 6402 can be used as a stand alone or in conjunction with Accepta 6404 DBNPA.
Use in conjunction with Accepta 6404 (DBNPA)
Accepta 6402 is an activator for residual bromide from DBNPA degradation. When used as a cooling tower microbiocide, DPNPA
(Accepta 6404) ultimately decomposes to bromide ion. When supplemented with Accepta 6402 the bromide ion in the re-circulating water is activated to hypobromous acid, effectively introducing an excellent algaecide.
HOW MUCH TO USE
Accepta 6402 application rates for industrial recirculating cooling water systems will depend upon the conditions of the system prior to treatment initiation. Systems that are heavily contaminated should be cleaned prior to product use. Apply Accepta 6402 to maintain a free halogen residual in the re-circulating water. The active component is also DWI approved as a potable water disinfectant at 0.5 ppm and may be used as a component part of a Legionella control regime in hot and cold water services.
The approval for potable water is for up to 90 days for potable applications and there is no limit in place for non-potable usage, as is the case in many hot and cold water services.

Evaporative Cooling Systems – When applying Accepta 6404, product should be dosed to achieve target residuals as prescribed and recommended in the HSE ACoP L8 and associated guidance documents HS(G) 274 part 1.
Process Water Systems – When applying Accepta 6404, product should be dosed to achieve target residuals as prescribed and recommended in the HSE ACoP L8 and associated guidance documents HS(G) 274 part 3.

HANDLING AND STORAGE
Accepta 6402 should be stored in a cool (<25°C) dry area. Properly stored, the product will remain effective for 24- 36 months. Consult Safety Data Sheet for further information.
SPILLAGE AND DISPOSAL
Accepta 6402 is a solid product. In the unlikely event of a spillage, do not allow to enter water course or drains. Small spillages – dilute with plenty of water and wash to waste.
PACKAGING
Accepta 6402 is available in 2.5 kg containers (4 to a case).
FEEDING
Feed Accepta 6402 using an Accepta board system.
Available in three types:
- Gravity Fed – No pump needed, requires controller relay or timer
- Electronic Level Control – Pump needed
- Mechanical – Pump needed
