Application & Dosage Information
The dosage of Kintec 5002 will vary depending on the amount and type of deposit in the system. It is normally recommended that this product is dosed to give a 20 – 25% solution (as product).
Testing of the acid strength is recommended to ensure that there is enough residual acid present to remove the deposits.
Specific recommendations can be provided by Accepta.
Dosage Strategy
Kintec 5002 should be diluted with water to give a solution of the desired strength. The solution temperature should be kept below 60°C to obtain the best protection from the inhibitors.
The cleaning solutions should be circulated and provisions must be made for venting of gases generated during the cleaning.
Depending on the type of deposit, carbon dioxide and some hydrogen gas may be formed. Open flames should not be allowed in the vicinity of the cleaning due to the potential for hydrogen gas formation.
Once the cleaning is complete the system should be immediately drained, flushed and neutralized with an alkaline product supplied by Accepta.
After recirculating the neutralizing solution, the system should be drained and flushed one final time.
It is always advisable to carry out a ‘Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health’ (COSHH) assessment before use.
