Description

ACCEPTA CB56 is a high performance low nitrite – molybdate corrosion inhibitor scientifically formulated for the treatment of closed circuit systems including closed chilled water and low pressure heating systems.

Based on a blend of organic and inorganic corrosion inhibitors Accepta CB56 is proven to provide superior protection for steel, copper, aluminium and other non-ferrous metals.

CB56 is a highly efficient formulation providing the ideal treatment for closed chilled water and low pressure heating systems.

Product Benefits

  • Superior quality corrosion inhibitor
  • Developed specifically for use in closed circuit systems
  • Proven protection for steel, copper and other non-ferrous metals
  • Suitable for systems containing aluminium
  • Ideal for closed chilled water and low pressure heating systems

Product Properties

Fprm: Liquid
Colour: Colourless
Odour: Odourless
pH: 8.0-8.7
Relative density: ~1.15
Solubility in water: Miscible
Flammability: Non flammable

*Full details of the product properties are available in the Safety Data Sheet. See below.

Application & Dosage Information

CB56 should be dosed at 1% volume (10 litres/m3) in order to give a reserve of 400-600ppm of sodium molybdate (equivalent to 310 – 450ppm of molybdate as MoO4), and 400-600ppm of sodium nitrite (equivalent to 270-400ppm Nitrite as NO2).

If the system pH is above 8 it may be necessary to adjust the pH separately by the addition of pH CONDITIONER – your Accepta representative will advise.

In systems requiring significant passivation, higher initial dosages may be required to yield the required inhibitor residual.

A BPR-compliant biocide should also be used where necessary such as Accepta BCITA

It is always advisable to carry out a ‘Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health’ (COSHH) assessment before use.

For further technical assistance concerning CB56 please contact Accepta.
