Description
FDA Approved Antiscalant for Boilers, Cooling & Closed Systems
PS350 is a specially blended mixture of polymeric sludge conditioners for use in steam boilers, cooling & closed water systems. It is made from materials which are approved by the US FDA in the treatment of boiler water where the steam may come into contact with foodstuffs.
PS350 works by a combination of chelation, crystal modification and the threshold effect and is effective against a wide range of scaling salts such as calcium and magnesium hardness, iron oxide and silica. PS350 converts the scaling material into a light mobile floc, which can be blown-down easily.
PS350 will gradually redisperse old deposits and may be used as part of a ’clean up’ programme.
PS350 is suitable for us in closed systems as part of a polymer flush and is especially effective at the removal of iron from the system water.

Application & Dosage Information
PS350 is normally dosed to maintain 100 ppm in the system, although, if it is being used as part of a ‘clean up’ programme, higher levels may be maintained.
eg. to treat 10m3 with 100ppm would be 10l of product, chemical top-ups should follow a similar calculation, for example, if you measure 2m3 of fresh water has entered the system since last treatment due to leaks or blowdown then a 2l top up should replenish the chemical reserve.
PS350 is compatible with other commonly used treatments and can be dosed from the same mixing tank.
It is always advisable to carry out a ‘Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health’ (COSHH) assessment before use.
