Description
AMX / AT-2328 is a high performance corrosion inhibitor scientifically formulated for use in steam condensate lines and high pressure hot water (HPHW) systems.
AMX / AT-2328 is a neutralising amine developed for use in steam lines where the control of pH is essential.
AMX / AT-2328 reacts with acids produced in normal boiler operation, controlling pH, thus protecting pipework which would otherwise be subject to vigorous attack.
AMX / AT-2328 active component is approved by the American Food and Drugs Administration for applications other than milk production where low levels may come into contact with food. A level of 10ppm as Cyclohexylamine (25ppm as supplied) should not be exceeded if there is a risk of contact with food products.
AMX / AT-2328 may also be used in HPHW systems to raise the pH without substantially raising the conductivity.

Application & Dosage Information
AMX / AT-2328 has the advantage of being dosed directly into the feedwater make-up together with other chemical treatments. This is possible due to its high volatility, the vapors being carried over into the steam lines direct from the boiler ensuring an even distribution over the entire system.
A special dosing point in the boiler shell is NOT necessary.
Dosage rates are determined on site by in-situ application tests to obtain optimum conditions.
It is always advisable to carry out a ‘Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health’ (COSHH) assessment before use.
