Accepta 4539 is a high performance high molecular weight cationic acrylamide co-polymer in an aqueous dispersion. It is also useful in situations where the treatment sludge comes from a deficient digestion, or with a high content of volatile compounds.
Accepta 4539 has an excellent environmental profile. It is free of surfactants and organic solvents, with a very low volatile organic compound (VOC) content. Its manufacturing process has a low environmental impact, compared with many other manufacturing processes for flocculant products. Accepta 4539 utilises the most advanced technology in terms of its environmental impact.
Accepta 4539 can work alone or can be combined with other common products used in water treatments as: aluminium chloride, aluminium polychloride, ferric chloride, polyamine, lime, etc. Under such circumstances if an anionic flocculant is used during the final stages a more complete and effective flocculation (dual treatment) can be achieved.
Accepta 4539 is a versatile cationic acrylamide and can be used across a wide range of applications. It provides excellent results in sludge dewatering processes, in belt filters and centrifuges. In belt filters the product helps to keep clean the belts in situations where the sludge contains hydrocarbons or hydrophobic compounds.
Accepta 4539 is effective across a wide pH range, it is also easy to handle, and dissolves readily in use.

Application & Dosage Information
In most of cases Accepta 4539 must be dissolved in water prior its use in the application. Its dissolution is very fast if the procedure conditions are adequate.
For an effective and rapid dissolution process it is important to get a good first contact between the product and water. We recommend pouring Accepta 4539 slowly over strongly agitated water. A small dose of product should contact water on the vortex formed by the agitation. Continue to thoroughly mix until all the product has been fed into the water, after that the agitation rate may be reduced till the dissolution is complete.
The low viscosity of Accepta 4539 allows its dosage rate to be easy controlled. It is however, very important to avoid any incoming water in the dosing system of the raw product, for this reason we recommend using non-return valves. If it does happen pumps and tubing could become blocked.
We also recommend dissolutions of the product at concentrations above 5 % are not used. High concentrations are harder to homogenize and handle because of the high viscosities obtained.
Solution stability depends on several factors: quality of the dilution water (hardness, conductivity, and pH), temperature, concentration, etc. We recommended using any prepared dissolution within a few hours after its preparation.
When a loss of viscosity is observed it usually means that the prepared solution has degraded. If this occurs the dissolution is still useful, though the dosage necessary to maintain product performance may be higher.
As Accepta 4539 can be dissolved easily, in some specific cases, it may be dosed to the application without previous dissolution.
It is always advisable to carry out a 'Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health' (COSHH) assessment before use.
