Accepta 2317 is a high performance, hydrochloric acid based active cleaning agent and descaler that incorporates a film forming inhibitor and a coloured exhaustion indicator dye.
Accepta 2317 is a technically advanced formulated product containing a special film forming inhibitor that works to protect carbon steel, copper and brass against acid attack.
The inhibitor properties of Accepta 2317 also serve as an efficient penetrant and dispersant to enhance the effectiveness of the acid.
Accepta 2317 has the added benefit of an exhaustion indicator and can be used to effectively dissolve lime-scale (calcium carbonate) deposits, ideal for the treatment of boilers, calorifiers and heat exchangers.
IMPORTANT – Accepta 2317 should NOT be used on stainless steel, aluminium or galvanised surfaces.

Application & Dosage Information
Typically, Accepta 2317 can be used at strengths between 10 and 50% and at temperatures up to 80°C, the speed of reaction being enhanced by acid strength and elevated temperature.
When the acid is approaching exhaustion the colour of the solution will change from red to yellow and this indicates that more Accepta 2317 should be added.
After completion of descaling equipment should be drained and flushed thoroughly and any acid effluent neutralised.
NOTE – Accepta 2317 should NOT be used on stainless steel, aluminium or galvanised surfaces.
