Description

DS-PWDR / AT-2316 is a high-performance, highly active sulphamic acid based cleaning agent and descaler incorporating a special film forming inhibitor. It is scientifically formulated to protect mild steel, stainless steel, copper and brass against acid attack.

DS-PWDR / AT-2316 is a technically advanced sulphamic acid treatment product containing a special film forming inhibitor that works to protect mild steel, stainless steel, copper and brass against acid attack.

The inhibitor properties also serve as an efficient penetrant and dispersant to enhance the effectiveness of the acid.

DS-PWDR / AT-2316 can be used to dissolve lime-scale (calcium carbonate) deposits, and is an ideal for the treatment for boilers, calorifiers and heat exchangers.

IMPORTANT – DS-PWDR / AT-2316 should NOT be used on aluminium or galvanised surfaces.

DS-PWDR can be Neutralised with Accepta’s Neutralising Powder.

*Full details of the product properties are available in the Safety Data Sheet. See below.

Application & Dosage Information

The typical dosage rate for DS-PWDR / AT-2316 generally depends on the degree of scaling. Normally a 10% solution (100g per litre) will remove carbonate deposits.

Up to 30% solutions may be used at temperatures below 70oC for removal of stubborn deposits.

The inhibitor solution should be added at rate of 250ml per 25Kg of powder.

Completion of descaling should be determined by either testing acidity or pH periodically.

When descaling is complete acidity or pH should be constant. If solution shows no acidity or pH rises to 4 or higher then more Accepta 2316 solution should be added.

After completion of descaling, equipment should be drained and flushed thoroughly with water and any acid effluent neutralised with Accepta’s neutraliser.

NOTE – DS-PWDR / AT-2316 should NOT be used on aluminium or galvanised surfaces.

It is always advisable to carry out a ‘Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health’ (COSHH) assessment before use.
