Description

Treatment for Open Circuit Evaporative Cooling Systems and Air Conditioning Plant

Accepta CG364 is a chlorine stable, non-volatile liquid corrosion inhibitor and scale dispersant intended for extremely corrosive environments. It is an alkaline blend of anodic and cathodic inhibitors based on phosphate, a threshold deposit control agent, a sludge conditioner and offers protection to multi-metal systems.

Accepta CG364 has an extended range of water chemistry where the product can be used as the potential for calcium phosphate deposition is minimised.

The product is most commonly used as an inhibitor in pasteurisation systems where the combination of high temperatures and high chlorine levels proves extremely aggressive. To perform satisfactorily CG365 requires low levels of Calcium Hardness present (20-200mg/l)

Accepta CG364 is suitable for use with bromine based biocides and a regime of alternating non-oxidising biocides.

Biocide Recommendations

For Bromine treatment we recommend:

FD-BROM / AT-2343 & Activator 120 together these will provide bromine in liquid form

For Non-Oxidising Biocide treatment we recommend:

BC-ITA / AT-2827 & BCPS / AT-2302 dosed alternatively these non-oxidising biocides will maintain excellent control

Product Properties

Form: Clear Liquid
Colour: Light brown
Odour: Characteristic
Relative density: 1.25-1.30
Flammability: Non-combustible
Solubility in water: Soluable in water
pH: 11-12

*Full details of the product properties are available in the Accepta MSDS

Application

Accepta CG364 contains no heavy metals. It offers protection over a wide range of temperature conditions in low hardness and low alkalinity conditions.

Dosage Rates

To ensure rapid film formation and corrosion control the system should be passivated for a period of at least one week with 500ppm Accepta CG364 in the system water.

CG364 should be dosed to maintain a reserve of 100-200ppm in the system water. For maximum control and economy it should be dosed in proportion to make-up requirements.
