You are here:

This product is made to order and as such has a minimum order quantity applied to it.

Description

Kintec 3262 is a high-performance cooling water corrosion inhibitor.

Kintec 3262 has been developed for use in the treatment and protection of open recirculating cooling water systems with high quality, very low hardness make-up water such as that from an ion exchange system.

Product Benefits

  • High performance corrosion inhibitor for open recirculating cooling water systems
  • Ideal for high quality, very low hardness make-up water conditions
  • Ideal for water from ion exchange systems
  • Convenient liquid product

Product Properties

Form: Liquid
Colour: Slightly hazy, yellow
pH: 12.0 – 13.0
Specific Gravity: 1.23 – 1.26

*Full details of the product properties are available in the Safety Data Sheet. See below.

Application & Dosage Information

Target dosage range for Kintec 3262 is 25 – 30 ppm as SiO2 in the recirculating cooling water as maintenance rate.

For a passivating programme, the dosage rate should be 3 times the maintenance rate and maintained for five days.

Dosage Strategy

Kintec 3262 should be fed neat or as part of an appropriate mix to the cooling water system where it can be uniformly mixed and thoroughly distributed using a chemical metering pump.

Performance Monitoring

Appropriate use of Kintec 3262 following the above dosing strategy should result in a corrosion rate of less than 2 mpy.

It is always advisable to carry out a ‘Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health’ (COSHH) assessment before use.
