BG420 also known as AT-2304

This chemical is part of a two part chemistry:

Product bromine precursor can be activated by Accepta Activator 120

Description

BG420 / AT-2304 is a highly advanced cooling water treatment, scientifically formulated using an alkaline blend of inorganic and organic scale and corrosion inhibitors, combined with a bromine pre-cursor, developed specifically for the treatment and protection of open circuit evaporative cooling water systems.

BG420 / AT-2304 is a very effective cooling water treatment formulation that provides scale and corrosion control over a wide range of water qualities and operational conditions.

BG420 / AT-2304 can be used in conjunction with Activator 120 to release the correct level of “bromine” offering critical performance in the control of microbiological growth in the cooling water system.

Product Benefits

  • High performance scale and corrosion inhibitor
  • Alkaline blend of inorganic and organic inhibitors
  • Specifically designed for open circuit evaporative cooling systems
  • Contains bromine pre-cursor
  • Can be used with Accepta activator to release bromine and control microbiological growth
  • Effective over wide range of water qualities and operation conditions

Product Properties

*Full details of the product properties are available in the Accepta MSDS.

Application & Dosage Information

Pre Treatment

Like most film forming corrosion inhibitors maximum protection is afforded if a pre-treatment period is adopted.

BG420 / AT-2304 is dosed at 3 times the normal dosage for a period of 5 days at the start of the treatment programme, enabling a strong film to be built up quickly.

Similarly, should the normal dosage be interrupted for any length of time, an elevated dosage for a short period of time will re-establish maximum protection in the shortest possible time.

Normal Dosage

BG420 / AT-2304  should be dosed to maintain a minimum reserve of 200ml/m3 in the system water at all times.

Our technical consultants will advise you of the ideal level of dosage and testing regime for your individual system.

It is advisable to carry out a ‘Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health’ (COSHH) assessment before use.

Contact Accepta technical support for additional technical advice.
