Corrosion Inhibitor for Closed Chilled Water & Low Pressure Heating Systems – 2345

This product has been replaced by Accepta 2309

Description

Accepta 2345 is a high performance water treatment corrosion inhibitor scientifically formulated for the treatment of closed chilled water and low pressure heating circulating systems containing aluminium.

Accepta 2345 is a corrosion inhibitor based on a novel blend of organic and inorganic corrosion inhibitors, including molybdate, intended to protect steel, copper and other non-ferrous metals. As such it is an ideal treatment for closed chilled water and low pressure heating systems.

Important- Whilst Accepta 2345 is designed to protect systems which incorporate aluminium it should NOT be used in systems with Stelrad Super Plus Modular boilers where an alternative product COPAL should be used, and in all applications where aluminium is present it is important to control the pH in the range 7 – 8.

Product Benefits

  • Excellent protection for systems which incorporate aluminium
  • High performance corrosion inhibitor
  • Protects steel, copper and other non-ferrous metals
  • Ideal treatment for closed chilled water and low pressure heating systems

Application & Dosage Information

For systems containing no aluminium Accepta 2345 should be dosed at 0.5 to 1% (5,000 -10,000 ml/m3) in order to give a reserve of 50ppm of sodium molybdate.

For systems containing aluminium the dosage of 1-1.5% should be added in order to maintain a minimum reserve of 100ppm of sodium molybdate. In certain circumstances it may be necessary to adjust the pH separately by the addition of a pH conditioner product.

In systems requiring significant passivation, higher initial dosages may be required to yield the required inhibitor residual.

It is always advisable to carry out a ‘Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health’ (COSHH) assessment before use.
