Accepta 2512 is a high-performance organic boiler water oxygen scavenger and passivator scientifically formulated for the treatment of steam raising plant. It can be used as a direct replacement for hydrazine and contains 10% carbohydrazide.
Accepta 2512 is suitable for use in boilers of any pressure up to and including supercritical (220 barg).
Accepta 2512 is ideal as a direct replacement for hydrazine, it contains 10% carbohydrazide, and does not contribute to the dissolved solids of the boiler system.
Accepta 2512 adds minimal ammonia to the boiler system. Please note that overdosing may result in high levels of ammonia in the condensate.
- A low toxicity carbohydrazide based alternative to hydrazine.
- Can be used as a direct replacement for hydrazine.

Application & Dosage Information
Dose Accepta 2512 at a rate of 15 ppm of product per ppm of oxygen in the feedwater plus 1 ppm of product.
Maintain 0.8 – 1.0 ppm in the feedwater.
Feed Accepta 2512 continuously to storage section of the deaerator below the water line via a stainless steel quill.
Do not use Accepta 2512 in systems with a pH below 8.5, as the reaction rate is substantially reduced at low pH.
Accepta 2512 must be fed neat.
Do not mix Accepta 2512 with other boiler water treatment chemicals either neat or dilute.
It is always advisable to carry out a ‘Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health’ (COSHH) assessment before use.
Test method is to measure the product reserve in a feedwater sample not a blowdown sample. Discuss method with Accepta product support specialists.
