Description

CB26 / AT-2501 is a high-performance food grade catalysed oxygen scavenger scientifically formulated for the treatment of boilers, steam raising plant and hot water systems.

CB26 / AT-2501 comprises a concentrated solution of sodium bisulphite and a catalyst additive.

CB26 / AT-2501 aids the rapid removal of dissolved oxygen, prevents pitting corrosion of heat exchange surfaces, and can be used in boiler plant up to a pressure of 46 bar.

All components of CB26 / AT-2501 are FDA approved for use in boiler plant where the steam contacts food.

Application & Dosage Information

Dose CB26 / AT-2501 to give sulphite reserves in the boiler of approximately 50ppm.

Note the dose rate will depend on the feedwater temperature. It is recommended to dose at a rate of 18ml/m3 for every ppm of dissolved oxygen.

Monitor sulphite levels regularly.

Dose CB26 / AT-2501 with a positive displacement pump to the point of application.

CB26 / AT-2501 is compatible with other boiler water treatment products.

Do not allow this product to mix with strong oxidising agents or acids.

It is always advisable to carry out a ‘Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health’ (COSHH) assessment before use.

Test Method

Titrate with potassium iodide/iodate solution in presence of an acid starch indicator.

On-site, measure sulphite using an Accepta sulphite drop test method to comply with BS 2486.
