Description

AMN / AT-2330 is a high performance blend of neutralising amines scientifically formulated for the treatment and protection of steam lines where the control of pH is essential. Based on morpholine and cyclohexylamine.

AMN / AT-2330 is scientifically formulated using a blend of steam volatile amines which are approved by the US FDA for use where live steam may come into contact with foodstuffs.

AMN / AT-2330 reacts with acids produced in normal boiler operation, controlling pH, thus protecting pipework which would otherwise be subject to vigorous attack.

The volatile components of AMN / AT-2330 have different distribution ratios and are thus able to protect all parts of the steam/condensate system.

AMN / AT-2330 may also be used in HPHW systems to raise the pH without substantially raising the conductivity.

Product Benefits

  • High performance blend of neutralising amines for control of pH in steam lines.
  • US FDA approved for use where live steam may come into contact with foodstuffs.
  • Protects pipework.
  • Can be used in HPHW systems to raise the pH without substantially raising conductivity.
  • Easy to use, convenient liquid application.

Product Properties

Form: Liquid
Colour: Clear colourless
pH: ~12
Specific gravity: ~0.99
 Flashpoint: 65oC

*Full details of the product properties are available in the Safety Data Sheet. See below.

Application & Dosage Information

AMN / AT-2330 can be dosed directly into the feed water make-up together with other chemical treatments. This is possible due to its high volatility, the vapours being carried over into the steam lines direct from the boiler ensuring an even distribution over the entire system.

A special dosing point in the boiler shell is NOT necessary.

Dosage rates for AMN / AT-2330 are determined on site by our technical specialists to obtain optimum conditions.

It is always advisable to carry out a ‘Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health’ (COSHH) assessment before use.
