Description

AMT / AT-2329 is a high performance corrosion inhibitor scientifically formulated from a blend of neutralising and filming amines for the control of corrosion in steam and boiler condensate return lines.

Because AMT / AT-2329 contains neutralising and filming amines it can protect the system from corrosion caused by both carbon dioxide and dissolved oxygen.

In waters with high carbon dioxide contents AMT / AT-2329 offers more cost effective protection than products based solely on neutralising amines.

Important – Accepta AMT / AT-2329 should NOT be used for applications where steam is in contact with foodstuffs.

Product Benefits

  • High performance corrosion inhibitor based on neutralising and filming amines.
  • Cost effective, especially so for waters with high carbon dioxide content.
  • Protects against corrosion from both carbon dioxide and dissolved oxygen.

Product Properties

Appearance: Pale straw coloured liquid
pH: 12 approx
Sg: 0.98 approx
Flash point: 60 oC

*Full details of the product properties are available in the Safety Data Sheet. See below.

Application & Dosage Information

AMT / AT-2329 can be dosed either into the steam line, boiler shell or the boiler feed tank using a metering pump.

AMT / AT-2329 has the advantage over many other filming amines in that it can be mixed with other boiler treatments in the same dosing tank PROVIDED the total strength of the mixture does not exceed 20% when diluted with water.

AMT / AT-2329 should not be mixed neat with other chemicals but should be added to the dosing tank after the diluting water has been added.

The actual dosage of AMT / AT-2329 will be dependent on various factors and will be advised by Accepta.

It is always advisable to carry out a ‘Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health’ (COSHH) assessment before use.
