Accepta 2540 is a high performance, all-in-one multi-purpose boiler feed water treatment formulated using sulphite.

Accepta 2540 is ideal for the treatment of boiler systems using softened feed waters.

Accepta 2540 contains catalysed sulphite oxygen scavenger and phosphate.

Accepta 2540 will prevent pitting corrosion of heat exchange surfaces and conditions residual hardness preventing the deposition of scale.

Accepta 2540 also contains an FDA approved polymer sludge conditioner and dispersant.

Application & Dosage Information

Dose Accepta 2540 give sulphite and phosphate reserves in the boiler that comply with B.S. 2486 : 1997.

Dose Accepta 2540 in proportion to feedwater flow.

The dosage rate for Accepta 2540 will depend on the feedwater temperature.

Monitor sulphite and phosphate levels regularly.

Dose Accepta 2540 with a positive displacement pump to the point of application.

Accepta 2540 is compatible with other boiler water treatments.

Do not allow to mix with strong oxidising agents or acids.

It is always advisable to carry out a ‘Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health’ (COSHH) assessment before use.

Testing & Control

Laboratory Test

Titration. Titrate with potassium iodide / iodate solution in presence of acid starch indicator.

On-Site Test

Measure sulphite using a sulphite drop test method. Comply with BS 2486.
