Description
Accepta 2853 is a superior quality precursor used for the generation of chlorine dioxide. Accepta 2853 is based on 10% sodium chlorite in an aqueous solution.
Chlorine dioxide is made by reacting sodium chlorite and an acid in a controlled manner.
Chlorine dioxide is a highly effective super sanitising chemical agent that is highly recommended for use where the control of microbiological activity is essential, if not critical. Because of its biocidal characteristics, chlorine dioxide is ideal for the control of surface and waterborne pathogens; and the control and removal of stubborn biofilm. In fact, it has consistently been shown to be the best molecule for eradicating the causative organism of Legionnaires’ disease.
In the UK, the Building Services Research and Information Association has recommended chlorine dioxide as the best available technology for control of Legionella in hot and cold water systems.
