Active Ingredients: Calcium Hypochlorite briquettes are a dry source of chlorine.  It contains approx. 68% available chlorine.  It is used in controlling the growth of bacteria in potable water systems. When used with a HOCL specification dissolving system Accepta 6401 produces a stable solution of hypochlorous acid which is a powerful biocide for used in potable applications.

Accepta 6401 is a DWI (BS EN 900:2007) approved treatment for potable water systems and is widely used to control legionella and other pathogenic bacteria in hot and cold water systems. Chlorine has proven efficacy against pathogenic microorganisms including Legionella, at levels required by the system, L8 (HS(G) 274), system water type, along with risk assessment data.

Accepta 6401 should be stored in a cool(<25°C),  dry area.  Properly stored, the product will remain effective for 12- 18 months.  Consult Safety Data Sheet for further information.


Accepta 6401 is a solid product.  In the unlikely event of a spillage, do not allow to enter water course or drains. Small spillages – dilute with plenty of water and wash to waste.
