Description below

Description

Accepta 6401 Microbiocide:

Active Ingredients: Calcium Hypochlorite briquettes are a dry source of chlorine. It contains approx. 65% available chlorine.  It is used in controlling the growth of bacteria in potable water systems. When used with a HOCL specification dissolving system Accepta 6401 produces a stable solution of hypochlorous acid which is a powerful biocide for used in potable applications.

Accepta 6401 can be used stand alone or in conjunction with 6404 DBNPA.

Use in conjunction with Accepta 6404 (DBNPA)

Accepta 6401 is an activator for residual bromide from DBNPA degradation. When used in a cooling tower, DPNPA (Accepta 6404) ultimately decomposes to bromide ion but when supplemented with Accepta 6401, the bromide ion in the re-circulating water is activated to hypobromous acid, effectively introducing an excellent algaecide. Both products provide an excellent oxidizing and non-oxidizing bio program.*

Accepta 6401 is a DWI (BS EN 900:2007) approved treatment for potable water systems and is widely used to control legionella and other pathogenic bacteria in hot and cold water systems. Chlorine has proven efficacy against pathogenic microorganisms including Legionella, at levels required by the system, L8 (HS(G) 274), system water type, along with risk assessment data.

HOW MUCH TO USE

Accepta 6401 application rates for industrial recirculating cooling water systems will depend upon the conditions of the system prior to treatment initiation. Systems which are heavily contaminated should be cleaned prior to product use.  Apply Accepta 6401 to maintain a free halogen residual in the re-circulating water.

5000 liters dosed at 2 ppm would require 9-10g of Accepta 6401. This would require about 1 litres of solution per 1,000 litres of system volume (solution strength is 1800 ppm)

PROPERTIES
